10/10 Great teacher and coach!
I had the pleasure of meeting Tim at a recent HKC certification that he hosted in Orlando, FL. We had not met before and I was immediately struck by what a big guy he is. Since he is an RKC II, I had no doubt that he would be able to move well (something I am working to better) but it is impressive to see how strong and flexible he is.
It seemed to me that nothing escaped Tim’s eye during the day and I was very appreciative of that. He was completely tuned in to what everyone was doing and was also very safety conscious. There are many who can teach something but Tim transcends that. He is a great coach and knows exactly what you need to improve.
I have been involved in strength training for a very long time and I can honestly say that there are not too many people around with the kind of knowledge that Tim has. If you are in the area or even if you have to travel, as I did, it is will be well worth it to you.
Tim has a very serious approach to training trainers in the Hardstyle. He has a great eye for detail and a strong communication style that helps trainees dial in the subtleties of the Hardstyle swing and TGU. His help has improved my own TGU remarkably, and the drills he taught me for the swing are indispensable. Thank you, Tim! I hope to learn more from you in the future
Fór í tíma hjá Tim Shuman sem kennir kettlebell, virkilega flottur tími sem ég mæli eindregið með, og ef það eru eitthverjir Íslendingar á ferð í Orlando þá endilega að hafa samband og fara í kettlebell workout.
Þetta eru flottar æfingar fyrir jafnt konur sem karla og þá sérstaklega golfara.
Tim is an excellent teacher! He has a sharp eye for movement, is patient, and offers insightful instruction for perfecting technique and movement flaws. With Tim’s help I was able to pass the HKC program in Orlando. I would definitely recommend giving him a call if you find yourself in Orlando.
Tim Shuman is the “Go To” coach in Orlando for kettlebell and fitness instruction. Last weekend, I attended his HKC class. I am a certified personal trainer, knowledgable in various levels of resistance training, but had never worked with kettlebells before. I wanted to learn something new, and add Kettlebells to my arsenal of training tools for my clients, as well as for my own personal use. Unlike tradtional weight training, kettlebell training requires a slightly different skill set than what I was accustomed to. What impressed me about Tim’s coaching style is his keen attention to detail, and his calm demeanor and patience. Tim’s strong suit is in demonstration of proper form and technique, as well as verbal cues. He has a creative method of physically breaking down each exercise so it translates into a better understanding of the required movement. Learning proper function and technique of kettlebell training was very challenging to me, but Coach Tim Shuman taught me well. I earned my Hardstyle Kettlebell Certification last weekend and I’m looking forward to learning the next level in kettlebell training. If you are thinking of adding kettlebells to your fitness regimen, I highly recommend Tim Shuman of Orlando Kettlebells to introduce you to this unique way of becoming physically fit.
It was great to be able to have a Kelttlebell session with Tim while I was on holiday in Orlando from the UK.
I had done some Kettlebell work in the Uk but the session was challenging yet enjoyable and it was clear that Tim was very technically and professionally knowledgeable….it was also fun
Thanks Tim and If I am lucky enough to holiday in Orlando again i would certainly have a session
I worked with Tim when i was in orlando on vacation, and I must say he is a very professional instructor. I found his classes very challenging and worthwhile. Any problems i had with form ,Tim could rectify very quickly and effectively. He was also willing to stay back after class and give further instruction and tips that would help. His classes were always varied and never boring. Even now when i am home from vaction tim is still in touch and has no problem mailing me workouts which i can do at home. He even built by confidence up by coaching me through snatching a 24 kg kettlebell and also performing a turkish get up with the 24kg.
Bottom line. you get what you pay for and with Tim that is high quality instruction. I am greatful to him for what i learned in his well structered classes.
My curiosity got the best of me, finally! I Attended the Intro class and immediately felt like part of the group. I have zero experience with kettlebells and was pleased with Tim’s ability to instruct each of us based on our individual knowledge and ability; One-on-One in a group setting!
As for the kettlebells….they kicked my butt! The sessions are QUICK (45 mins) FUN and highly EFFECTIVE. I’ve only been to a few classes and each time I feel the new muscle group that was working (very hard ) that night.
I Highly recommend Tim’s Kettlebell Class
I used to work out years ago with free weights and wanted to get back in shape. I heard about kettle bells and wanted to know more. Tim is very knowledgable about both kettle bell training and conventional free weight training. As we were doing my first kettle bell workout, I was trying to use techniques from free weight training and Tim corrected me quickly. He showed me the correct way to train with the kettle bell, so that I would get the most out of it, but most importantly not get hurt. If you are considering kettle bell training I would strongly recommend Tim.
I set out and did all my research within the Orlando area speaking to all the RKC instructors. I was looking for an intense, safe, and structured program. All recommended Tim.
When I first saw Tim, big stalky guy with his signature sunglasses, one could only know this is gonna be straight to business, no joke. After the hand shake and inroduction class to the Kettlebell basics, you will find he is a real cool trainer. He pays attention to details and does everything in his power to make sure everyone is safe. With having no experience with Kettlebells and not working out in a year, Tim helped clean that up quick.
In the beginning, I was very up front and told him my goals. Tim has helped me with my confidence and sent me up the mountain climbing to achieve my goals. Following the right path, I have lost a couple of inches and built muscles I have not seen in awhile. When you come to Tim’s workout, expect to WORK. You will be in the hot sun breaking a sweat- guaranteed. Also, when you think you can slip in a sloppy swing when he’s not looking, think again. Tim will catch you.
In my opinion I feel Tim is the best trainer I have encountered. His presence alone will make you give it your all. I wish though, he would yell at me like a drill sergeant, but that’s not his cup of tea. When you hear the word “Ankle rolls”, you know all the pain and sweat was worth every bit. All the classmates are very friendly so no need to feel left out or intimidated. Starting Tim’s classes has made a positive turning point in my life. I will miss this class when I leave to Spain in a month, to pursue my career and family goals.
This will be the best 45 min of your day. When you work with Tim you know you will be safe and you will have fun. I fully recommend Tim to anyone looking to start or continue their Kettlebell training.
One of the things that I really enjoy training with Tim is that he actually teaches. It is one thing to tell a person to do 10 reps but it is another to actually help them engrain it into their motor system. When you do that you introduce not a just a workout but you give them a memory pattern that they can remember. As a chiropractic student and ISCRS member, I fully appreciate the valuable learning skills that I am taught each session and I don’t mind sweating it.
On a recent trip to FLA, I had the opportunity to train with Tim Shuman. In short, it was one of the best workouts I had. Tim was an outstanding teacher who focused on form and technique while at the same time providing the right amout of encouragement and enthusiasm. I am not a novice athlete, but Tim certainly gave me some pointers to help me maintain proper form and technique in my everyday workouts. Hopefully on my next trip to FLA, I will be able to train with Tim again. He was outstanding!
For those looking for an RKC in central FL I would send you to Tim Shuman. He is one of the key components that everyone needs to start moving correctly and performing activities of daily living pain free. Not only does Tim understand movement but he has experience in overcoming pain associated with moving improperly. Tim can take you from a sedentary lifestyle to moving well and moving often or he can take those that move well to a more optimum performance level.
…But Tim took as much time as I needed to make sure I had the right form so I would not injure myself and get the most from the workout. The workout itself is steller targeting all muscles and some I never knew existed. I loved the environment of the class too…great location!
In short, Tim rocks \,,/
The Orlando area has an excellent RKC instructor in Tim Shuman. Tim was nice enough to teach me for a couple months while I was away from home. Tim treated me like the rest of the class with close attention to detail. Tim takes great care to teach prevention of injury. My Turkish Get Up and Snatch are greatly improved. I am very happy with the results. The Orlando areas first choice for Kettlebell training should be Tim Shuman.
I’ve been interested in learning more about Kettlebell workouts and recently got the opportunity to attend one of Tim’s classes. It was informative and equally challenging for an introductory class. I would highly recommend it if you are looking for diversity in your workouts and to be challenged. I even enjoyed getting to know his students. He has a great group that attends regularly. They were encouraging, friendly and helpful.
Look forward to seeing you again soon!
Having Tim train me on kettlebells was extremely beneficial. From teaching me correct form to learning new exercises put me on a path to achieving my goals that I have set for this type of training. His knowledge was evident and his patience and time was appreciated.
Great workout. The exercises are different than what I was used to, and Tim instructed the class on the proper technique, making sure that we were all using good form. It didn’t seem like it would be too challenging, but after a few reps on each exercise you could feel it.
What I really liked was that Tim packs a whole routine into 45-50 minutes. Went to two sessions and will be going again.
I was really impressed with the class! Tim really knows his stuff and my body could tell the day after just an intro class!
This workout will definitely build up a sweat and leave my heart racing. I have been running for two years and I have tried several different fitness programs and I didn’t think I would feel as worked as I would have with a long run but this seems to be even a better cardio. Perfect workout to combine core strength training and cardiovascular exercise!! Love it!
Tim really knows what he’s doing. His feedback is direct and precise. Some folks have good technique. Some folks can instruct well. Tim has both. But don’t take my word for it, go and visit Tim and find out for yourself; it’s worth the trip. Thanks, Tim!
You were the best teacher ever! So understanding of how hard i thought it was going to be. But by the time we were done i was like, i think i can do this! I can do this! the next day i felt it in my arms and my legs, my arms felt light! I cold lift anything. You r the best coach ever…and not bad at fixing computers either. I am singing up!
hi Tim
thanks for the classe . it was a great expérience working out with you you open my mind to the world of Kettlebells . your knowledge and ability to coach was excellent and very helpfull.
I m looking forward to train again with you soon . in the mid time i will keep in mind all the technic you thaugh us .
best regards
Laurent
I trained with Tim while getting ready for my RKC certification this year. Tim was a big help with goals that I wanted to achieve. Tim is very knowledgeable along with being patient in explaining kettlebell form. I needed that extra push of practice before my cert and Tim always made time to make sure I was ready. I would highly recommend Tim if you’re looking the best. Thank you Tim!
I attended the Aug 29, 2011 Intro to Kettlebell Session and truly enjoyed it. I do not exercise on a regular basis and was looking for a new & efficient way to improve my health after recently having a baby. The Kettlebell exceeded my expectations! And, I actually felt pretty great the next day. No real soreness! Tim was a great instructor. He doesn’t “baby” you or yell and scream. He just calmly takes the time to explain and/or demonstrate the moves to you and then individually and as a group, encourages you to do the same. I look forward to attending future sessions, however, I would LOVE if classes could be arranged in the Lake Mary / Altamonte area! Best wishes to Tim!
Before training with Tim I had done a small amount of kettlebell work. Wow, I was not taught even the basics well at all! Tim is very thorough and pays a great deal of attention to warming up, proper form, and technique. These aspects combined provide one with a more efficient and safe workout. I have a shoulder injury from traditional weight training, but with the techniques I was shown it did not bother me at all.
Tim is not only extremely knowledgeable, his great attitude and understanding instruction makes your workout even more enjoyable. Tim is an awesome coach,I would recommend his instruction to anyone and everyone.
Tim is a very knowledgeable trainer, especially when it comes to Kettlebells. He takes the time to teach you proper technique and has extreme patience and understanding when you don’t get it over and over again. He strives to help his students met their personal goals and goes above and beyond to push you through any obstacles you might face. He is the perfect trainer in getting results and the job done!
I’ve been working out with Tim for the last 3 years. He understands my personal goals and pushes me to achieve them. I’ve enjoyed the Kettle Bell and traditional workouts. He mixes it up and keeps it interesting. Great job Tim – keep it up!
I attended one of Tim’s Kettlebell intro classes a couple of weeks ago and loved it. It’s challenging and a super efficient work out. Tim was an amazing instructor, very knowledgeable and took the time to work with each individual on form and technique. I would highly recommend him and the class and plan to bring friends to try out his next intro class.
I attended an introductory class for Kettlebells with Tim as my instructor. I felt confident in his knowledge and instruction and was pleased with his patience and attention to proper form. The workout was quick, effective and fun. If you are considering Kettlebells I would recommend using Tim as your instructor.
I am a guy who used to work out but stopped over the decades of professional life. Nearing 50, I decided to see what I could do to improve my general well being and my golf game.
Tim created a program tailored for me. I have seen Tim do the same with countless other people, from seniors to professional athletes. Every recommended exercise program is specifically designed for the individual based on needs and goals.
As others have noted, Tim stresses technique and lifting the appropriate amount of weight (which was no weight for me on some exercises!). He makes each workout a challenge yet achievable.
So, what have been my results? I am definitely stronger than I have ever been, even compared to my 20s. I feel great every day. He has helped me balance my strength across the body, so I do not have one side or one area so dominant over the other one any more. He also knows what I need to do next to get to be in awesome shape for someone my age. I highly recommend Tim to anyone
Tim has been my trainer on and off for the past couple of years. I have found Tim to be very professional and a great motivator. I have really enjoyed the kettlebells. I didn’t think I could do them but Tim, convinced me to try. He is a stickler for proper form and pushes me to accomplish more than I think I can. I trust Tim’s experience and skill to keep me safe during my exercising. Thanks,Tim
What an amazing class. I really enjoyed getting introduced to the Kettle Bell work-out. Tim is funny
Tim is a great trainer and with great focus on people. Different than my usual training (free weights). targeting different muscle groups and more at a time. You will feel the workout. Looking forward to more.
THANKS TIM.
This was my first kettlebell class and I’m really glad I went. Many thanks to Tim for keeping on top of us all and showing us by example how to properly swing, hold and press. He spent time on all of us by showing us the ways we could improve our form and function while motivating us to dig a little deeper.
I highly recommend Tim’s class and look forward to the next time.
I really enjoyed the intro class Tim offered on 4/21/11. Exercises were explained and demonstrated very well, I got an excellent work-out and had a lot of fun. Thanks Tim!
I went to Tim’s Intro to kettlebell class on 4-21-11. From the started I could tell that he’s very experienced in working with pro athletes. I really like the way he explained to how to move body parts in every steps of the way. You’ll hear “pack shoulders”, “protect the ribs” for example. These are layman terms he used often. This makes following instructions very simple for me. I’m not very coordinated and do not have sport background and I had no trouble correcting my postures during class.
Another thing I like about Tim is his Zen-like calm and cool coaching style. He made everything sounds easy to do while stressed on correct methods. He can push you hard when you need and get off your back when you don’t. He paused often to let you ask questions.
I highly recommend Tim for kettlebell and fit camp classes.
I traveled 4 hours to Orlando to train with Tim in order to prepare for my RKC 2. Not only was he extremely professional, but he went above and beyond! We spent 3 hours working on skills. Tim used every trick in the book to help me with the skills I was weak on. Even though our session is over, he continues to offer support and help and even provided a DVD on our session so I could remember what he taught.
I highly recommend Tim to anyone whether a beginner or advanced user of Kettlebells.
Tim Shuman is the consummate professional. In each of his classes, though there are various levels of expertise and strength, Tim is capable of having everyone working to their best potential. He is a stickler about form and the correct body mechanics as well as each individual’s progress in class. He monitors each student, knowing their potential as well as their weaknesses. He is capable of strengthening their weaknesses and utilizing their potential to assist them in the advancement of their fitness level. For me, he is developing and strengthening muscles necessary to protect my hips. I can see the difference in my flexibility as well as my overall strength.
I have really enjoyed Tim’s class not only is it good exercise, he really helps you to improve. Tim pays alot of attention to proper technique which not only keeps you safe but allows you to get the full benefit of the exercise.
Tim was an amazing Asst. Team Leader at the Orlando RKC! A real stickler for details Tim was there for me, giving tips that perfected my technique. I really appreciate his hard work and dedication to kettlebells! Thanks Tim!
I am a recent graduate of the October 2010 RKC in Orlando, FL. I had the very good fortune of having Tim as an assistant RKC on my team. Tim was able to give me the cues I needed to clean up my form wherever it was lacking and patiently showed and reshowed me all the things I needed to keep getting better and better.
Tim’s love for all things kettlebell show through in his devotion to not only his own physical achievements, but in ensuring the continued results in all those he works with. His insight, eye for perfection, extensive knowledge of kettlebells and, of course, tough love are just a few of the things that make him the best. If I could give him an 11, I would.
I have been a personal trainer for 5 years now. I have a full client base and assist in teaching a college class in senior fitness, so I believe I have a good perspective on Trainers/Instructors. That being said, Tim is great one. I came to the RKC workshop with a good deal of kettlebell work under my belt, including the Hardstyle Kettlebell Certification from Dragon Door. In addition to the instruction from Pavel, Tim helped me really get every aspect of the training. My form was good, Tim made it better. I was strong, Tim made me stronger. I was observant and a good instructor, Tim helped me nail the finer points and work the problems with different aspects of every exercise and be a better instructor. In other words, Tim improved me as a kettlebell instructor, in every way, and he was instrumental in me passing the RKC.
Without hesitation I would recommend Tim for anyone seeking Kettlebell instruction.
Tim is committed to EXCELLENCE in his training and with this clients. His passion for kettlebell training is incredible. How do I know this?
I recently had the opportunity to Team Lead at the RKC in Orlando where Tim was an assistant instructor with another group. Two of his students were in my group (one as a student and the other as
an assistant) and I must say that they were both very skilled in all of the six RKC kettlebell movements.
In fact there were some other student’s from Tim there as well and again, all of them had phenomenal technique. To say that I was impressed was an understatement. Tim is an excellent instructor and his attention to the finer details is obvious in his own technique and that of his students. A natural leader, Tim gets the full potential out of his clients and students and it is just matter of time before he becomes a Team Leader in the RKC school of strength. I highly recommend Tim as he has a rare blend of both great people skills and teaching that allow him to push people to places they never even dreamed of going. Congratulations Tim on the progress of your clients and for being such a believer in other people and for helping others achieve their goals! I am honored to have you a friend and colleague!
At first I was unsure what to think. Tim is tall and broad and seems a bit gruff… but then he winks at you and smiles and you can see the passion he has for the RKC and his students.
This weekend I credit Tim with helping me to “get” the swing. He stayed with me, kept giving me advice and then – I felt it happen!
Whenever I had a question, he was there to lend a helping hand. When I thought I couldnt give anymore he knew just how to push me to be just a little better, all the while administering his tough love with a smile..
Thanks for cheering me on, pushing me to be better, for helping me to “get” the swing and for sharing your knowledge this weekend.
When I first tried Tim’s kettlebell workout, he was great at instructing us on how to perform the exercises correctly, and it was obvious that he had an extensive knowledge and passion for it. Despite that, I thought the workout was a little too difficult for me at my current fitness level. Had it not been for Tim, I would not have continued in the class. After that first difficult class, Tim called me to make sure I was feeling ok. The level of personal attention he demonstrated is what encouraged me to continue, and I haven’t regretted it one bit. I love Tim’s Kettlebell training! I soon got my husband involved also, and we both agree that Tim displays a great deal of patience, professionalism, and individual attention that has benefitted both of us. He makes sure that we not only learn the correct form, but the principal behind the action. Tim is a very dedicated instructor, and we appreciate all the work he puts in to help us. Thanks Tim!
I went to one of Tim’s classes in the park with a friend of mine. I had previous kettle bell experience but Tim opened up my eyes to a new technique that is better for the back and more explosive. Tim did an excellent job of describing the exercises and assisting me and the other students with out forms. I also appreciate how he would describe what muscles and body parts we were using during an exercise as this was very beneficial to me as I am in school to become a personal trainer.
We did an awesome Tabatha Workout and I would definitely recommend Kettlebell training with Tim.
Remember its not the size of the bell, its the way you swing it!
I had the pleasure of working with Tim at the RKC Level II instructor course in St.Paul MN in july 2010.. Tim is a very attention to detail type instructor. He has a sharp eye that will spot even the smallest flaws in technique. He will correct you and explain why movement patters are wrong and what you need to do to correct it. Tim has great knowledge when it comes to the human body and movement patterns. I highly recommend Tim who is serious about taking their training to the next level. I look forward to working with Tim in the future in the Orlando and surrounding areas. Thanks again Tim for all you’re help
I was skeptical at first, but after a couple of weeks, my body fat started to drop, and my core strength improved dramatically. I am a competitive power lifter, and I need more core strength to boost my deadlift. I am trying to increase my deadlift from 660 to over 700 and core strength is a key in this quest..I have noticed increased endurance while lifting and increased muscle density as well..
Tim takes the time to give detailed instruction thats get the job done and then some.. I highly recommend him!!!!
I decide to take Tim up on his “Fit Camp Money Back Guarantee” – Commit to four months, follow the work outs and the nutrition plans and if you don’t see results he’ll refund your money! I can say that in just 5 weeks of Fit Camp I have already seen and felt results – much faster and with less time and effort than with any other program I’ve tried before!
Tim is an excellent trainer who is able to tailor his instruction to the individual, and their needs, even in a small group setting. Tim’s workouts are always safe, fresh, fun and intense! I would highly recommend trying kettlebells and especially learning from Tim if you have the opportunity!
Tim’s training techniques are great! He makes working out fun and enjoyable. Tim takes the time to make sure each individual feels a part of the group, and challenges each group member to learn the techniques. The day after the introduction I knew I was interested in Fit Camp as all my muscles ached. I lift on my own, but this was a new way to get together and learn a different routine. A day without swings, is like a day without sunshine =)!
Tim works with each client on an individual basis, focusing on achieving results through challenging and constantly varied workouts. He takes the time to insure all movements are done properly and safely. Kettlebells are new to most people and Tim breaks down every movement to its individual steps. I highly recommend Tim as a coach/instructor and kettlebells as an excellent total body workout with regard to strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular benefits.
Next to spending money on original DD bells, getting instruction from Tim was the best thing I could have spent money on for kettlebell training. My only regret is that I didn’t get instruction from him sooner.
I was fortunate enough to have met Tim through Alicia Streger, who also trained with Tim for the RKC In October. I drove from “Tampa, FL” 6 weekends to Orlando to meet with Tim to train for the RKC Certification. Tim’s knowledge, teaching skills, and passion for kettlebell training was superior. I couldn’t of done it without him. He gave me the skills I needed, to go with confidence. He really had a knack of breaking down the steps of the exercises and made it easy to apply. I can not thank him enough!!!! He is a top notch kettlebell trainer! Thanks, Tim!
You’ll get a better workout in a shorter time… and you don’t have to deal with the stereo-typical “gym people.” Training with Tim is challenging but never overwhelming. He’s very particular in making certain that everybody is using good technique for every exercise, no matter what level of fitness. I have been involved in sports and weight training since I was a kid. I love to push myself. With kettlebell, you only really need one bell (but 2-3 is great too) to get a butt-kicking workout. And Tim shows you how to utilize that one bell and a few core exercises to mix up the workout. When you finish a workout with Tim, you know you’re that much stronger than you were yesterday.
I really enjoyed my kettlebell training with Tim. I’m a novice user, so I really liked that he explained all the steps thoroughly as well as how to do the exercises safely. Tim’s focus on form was really important to me because I feel like now I’m getting a better workout with the kettlebell without risking injury. I’m 35 so I don’t ‘bouce back’ from injuries like I used to and it’s really important to me that I avoid them. I love the kettlebell workouts in general because they can be intense enough for quick results and fun too – especially the Turkish getup because it’s challenging and requires a lot of focus. I look forward to training with Tim again – you can tell he’s passionate about what he does.
As a mountain biker, runner and tri-athlete (plus busy career woman) Kettlebells are the perfect addition to my training program. I very much like the exercises work multiple muscle groups and increases your heart rate. And the best part is you can get a kick butt workout in 20-30 minutes in your living room! The thing I’ve noticed most after working out with KBs is the definition to my abs.
Tim is an excellent coach, who is exceptionally knowledgeable and passionate about Kettlebells. If you are looking for a no-nonsense coach who is extremely patient but will still push you, then Tim Shuman is perfect for you! Because I am so naturally active, I generally don’t splurge for personal training, but I would highly recommend Tim and his Kettlebell expertise. It’s completely worth it, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed learning this new sport from Tim.
I am new to kettlebells but I wanted to make sure I had the technique down correct before starting. I know it’s hard to break bad habits. With that in mind, I found Tim. I wanted to work out with him because all of his previous reviews were top notch.
He was very patient and made sure I was doing the technique right, though the TGU was a struggle. Tim is motivating, concise, knowledgeable of RKC lifting standards and really enjoys what he does. I have a workout routine and can’t wait to get started. I’m hooked!
Don’t even hesitate – Tim is your trainer. I know without a doubt I’ll train with him again!
I showed up for a free weekend group workout with Tim and was treated to top notch instruction. Having learned kettlebells from books and DVDs only, I knew that I was missing a few things – he was able to spot the problems in my form instantly and communicate the proper method very clearly. I went away from the workout knowing exactly what to practice, and how to correct past mistakes. Tim is extremely motivating, concise, and especially knowledgeable of RKC lifting standards. I will train with Tim again in the future and eventually hope to try for RKC status one day.
Knowing Tim for years I knew he was good at what he did but I must say I was a little hesitant on this kettle bell thing until this week. Tim trained me and my girlfriend who by the way doesn’t train at all. At the end of the lesson we’re both sold and so much so I’m going to let people know that this is the real deal. Nice job Tim!! Whoever is a bit hesitant on this and Tim let me tell you that you won’t be sorry after one training sesson you’ll be addicted!!

After meeting with Tim, I have a new found respect for training with Kettlebells! He has a tremendous passion for training, and it is contagious. I came to him with a few skills I have been practicing from the “Goddess Workout,” and left with a lot more confidence in myself and my abilities.
I have been a personal trainer for over 8 years, and you can tell the second you meet Tim that Kettlebell training is something that he truly loves. He is patient and teaches with focus. He also has a great awareness of how the body works, and is not shy with his “tough love!” My personal goal is to train for the RKC in a few months, and he has really helped me to lay the ground work to be able to achieve that.
Best of all, he gotten me really excited about Kettlebells, and I look forward to training with him in the future!
It was my first time picking up a Kettlebell when I met Tim. I had called him to give me instructions for I want to get off on the right foot. I am 66 years old and I knew if I wanted to do this I had to get the form down correctly before I started. Tim worked with me on all the basic moves and I felt extremely glad I found him for his teaching skills and knowledge of Kettlebells are outstanding. I liked the idea that he would push me for in doing so I gained srength and I could jog a lot easier .In comparing him to other physical fitness instructors I have had, he wasn’t a clock watcher like other instructors that would not go over one minute past the hour.
I’m working on both running and golf and KB’s have been very helpful with both. I went to Tim merely to assure myself that my form was tolerably correct…for the most part it was, but Tim gently pointed out a few faults and corrections. I could tell a difference right away.
Since then, we’ve had ongoing commentary about the analogies between the golf swing and KB’s. He’s been more than patient with my inquiries and has been very helpful with suggesting workouts for me. I’ve nothing but kudos.
I have known Tim for 18 years. I have just gotten back in touch with Tim with regards to my workouts and beginning kettlebell training. He is now creating various workouts for me over the phone and computer. He is keeping my training fun and challenging. Tim is extremely knowledgeable with regards to the kettlebell workouts. I think Tim does an excellent job tailoring each workout for different individuals. I feel he is an excellent instructor and believe he will do all he can to help me reach my goals. Thanks Tim for your help and dedication.
My rating of nine is because there is no such thing as 10. Tim is a friend and “Terrible” is a nickname from another friend. It refers to what he does, makes her work out hard early in the morning, not who he is.
Tim is a big dude and STRONG. I am neither, but I am a 2nd degree black belt in Cuong Nhu Martial Arts and a fitness guy most of my 55 years. I played most all sports in High School and baseball in college and the semi-pro leagues. I have injuries; back, ankle, toe, recent finger and forearm.
The life story of above means there have been alot of coaches, instructors and senseis to compare Tim to and injuries to deal with. Like a good coach Tim first learned my ability, injuries and desire. He then taught me how proper kettlebell training could provide a complete workout without injurty. He lead me through the workouts and motivated me to continue without him. We started by him coming to my house to workout. Cool thing of him to do.
After lots of different workouts, strength, stretch or wind, on a lot of balls fields outdoors, gym or dojo this kettlebell stuff is the real deal. while I am still new to it, this workout method seems like the most complete; strength, stretch, core, cardio. I am all in and ready to go. Kettlebell training can make you powerful, I can tell already. Tim can help you.
If you are tired of doing the same old workout, try kettlebell training with Tim. Kettlebell training provides a great full body workout in a short period of time. . The kettlebell movement looks easy as an observer but is very technique sensitive. You need a trainer and Tim is excellent. He is very knowledgeable ,attentive and keeps it fun. Give it a try with Tim to get out of your workout slump and get the most out of kettlebell training.
I am a home exerciser and was introduced to kettlebells through DVD workouts. I quickly saw the need for personal training. I found Tim through Dragondoor. Tim was able to evaluate my moves, guide me in techniques, and correct my form. In one session he provided an excellent foundation for kettlebell training. He gave me clear instruction on the fundamental kettlebell moves. He was able to break down the moves into easy to understand steps. Tim is an excellent communicator, a patient and encouraging trainer, and a skilled and knowledgeable professional. He has made a difference in my understanding of kettlebell training.
My wife and I have worked out with Tim for many years and recently got introduced to Hell’s Bells 🙂 Working out with the kettle bells seems to give a full workout versus normal training. You can feel the strength build and at the same time you get a good stretch and your muscles do not seem nearly as tight after the workout. The aerobic side is also a plus as the swinging and constant motion pushes the heart rate as you concentrate on balance. The kettle bells are especially good if you are limited at all on time as you get a complete workout. Tim is all over safety and a very knowledgeable strength conditioning coach. I highly recommend this training method and Tim is a top notch coach!!
Tim is on the cutting edge here with an intense and unique training method using the Kettlebell. Tim was patient as I tried to get the hang of this very unique movement using predominantly the core and a full array of muscles in upper and lower body while providing an intense cardio workout as well. He explained the safety elements first, then the movements, and then tweaked my attempts until I was able to achieve the correct form. I learned the basics from Tim but it is clear that there is far more that can be accomplished with the Kettlebell over time as Tim explained. I’m looking forward to working on unleashing the full power and potential of this workout tool going forward. As a multi-sport athlete at 41 years old, I’m always looking at new and exciting ways of training and Tim’s got it!! Give it a try!
I had a training session with Tim the first week of November. This was my first Kettlebell workout. Tim explained concepts, stretching, safety and taught me the correct form/movement with the Kettlebell.
It was not easy moves for me to learn but Tim was very patient and broke every move down unitl I was able to do it. He is obviously very experienced and could work with someone who was advanced as well as a novice just as easily.
